With passionate discussion, thoughtful proposals, and community interest, the debate gave voters valuable insights into the people vying to lead their city.

District 8 State Senate Debate – May 1, 2025 at 6:30 PM

The Henryettan is proud to host a District 8 Senate Debate on Thursday, May 1, 2025, at 6:30 PM. This important debate will take place at the Green Country Technology Center in Okmulgee, and we encourage all area residents to attend and participate in the democratic process.

The candidates scheduled to take part are:

  • Nathan Brewer (Democrat) – Henryetta

  • Steve Sanford (Independent) – Henryetta

  • TBD (Republican) – The Republican candidate will be determined in a runoff election on April 1 between Bryan Logan and David Nelson.
