The Henryettan is proud to host a live Senate Candidate Forum for Oklahoma’s District 8 on Thursday, May 1, 2025, at 6:30 PM. The event will take place at Green Country Technology Center in Okmulgee, with doors opening to the public at 6:00 PM. All voters in District 8 are encouraged to attend or tune in to this critical conversation about the future of our region.
Confirmed participants include Nathan Brewer (Democrat) and Steve Sanford (Independent). Bryan Logan (Republican)
All candidates has now confirmed their participation.
Moderators for this debate will be Brad Nash and Amber Lee Mordecai, both experienced in community-focused dialogue.
The event is produced by Kjell Jansson, Editor-in-Chief of The Henryettan.
The structure of the debate will be as follows:
The first two-thirds of the debate will consist of pre-set questions developed collaboratively by The Henryettan, the moderators, and production staff.
The final third of the debate will be entirely dedicated to questions from the community, submitted by voters from District 8.
